I bought my 09 in November and I haven't waxed it yet because ...because ...because... OH YEAH "I'm still waiting for the paint to dry". Yeah that's it, that's the ticket, because I'm still waiting for the paint to dry, Not that I've been lazy that's for sure.

Sounds like snake oil to me. Went to their website...reminds me of the PolyGlycoat "Dealer Applied Only" coatings claims of the 80s.

And let's say for a moment that the claims above are true. What happens if your car gets a real scratch that needs to be repainted? Will the original dealer that applied the xzilon, reapply it on the new area and at what cost?

I just don't buy into their claims and not likely ever will.

Definitely clay first but make sure to lubricate well. If you want the ultimate wash, there are special wash formulas to neutralize raildust and fallout on the finish that was picked up between the factory and delivery to you. Do some research on it if interested. Me, I washed with Dawn dish liquid, twice, clayed, washed again and finished off with Zaino.

Check the detail forum for more car exterior tips. Lots of info there.
