I miss chrome front and rear bumpers. I wish the 2015s had added a faux feature reminiscent of that. I think it would have made the 2015s really stand out from the earlier cars. I realize it might be a maintenance headache or cost raiser, but if pickemup trucks can have chrome bumpers, why couldn't the Chllenger just have some thin chromed bumperesque detailing in front and rear to give the look?

Oh well. They look good anyway. Just a little nekkid.

Here's my version of a 2014 Challenger/Barracuda. Before and after. Still a work in progress. Rear window louvers next.

Here are a few pictures featuring some retro mods I have done thus far.

-"Challenger" grill script
-1970 reproduction passenger fender pentastar
-Amber fog lamp lenses

Upcoming retro mods:

-Pypes Performance 1970-style split exhaust tips
-Paint rear spoiler satin black
-Rear spoiler "Challenger" badge
-Rear spoiler R/T badge
-Hurst shifter (era correct)
-1970-style gauge faces
-1970-style "Challenger" dash badge
-Interior door panel fratzog emblems

A few I am contemplating:

-Shaker hood or
-Retaining stock hood with "Dodge" letters and satin center

I like most retro touches, but I believe that the wheels are what ultimately makes or breaks whatever theme you went with. It's shocking to me when I look back at old pics of my car with its hood pins, chrome door handles and... modern factory rims.

I also think that 18" is probably the best size for most purposes and tire options, even if I'm envious of TorRedR/T's Centerlines. I went with (17") slotted mags myself because I thought that 5-spoke wheels had been overdone, but still could've lived with Torq Thrusts.

I otherwise didn't go all-out, but have hood pins, chrome door handles, amber fog lights, polished aluminium (couldn't find chrome) door lock pins, Mopar T-handle, vinyl seat covers and a wood interior kit. I was going for a certain retro-modern vibe more than faithful mods.
